Tasks with a time and a deadline.

Give tasks a duration, a deadline and a lasting place in your calendar.

The idea

A task list tells you what needs doing. A calendar tells you when there’s room. We want to connect the two more closely, so each task can have an estimated duration, a deadline and a priority before you decide where it belongs.

Dragging a task into a free stretch would create a linked time block. Move or resize that block and its connection to the task stays intact. Completing the work should update both views, so you don’t have to manage the same commitment twice.

This would also make it easier to spot an unrealistic day: a list of five tasks might need more time than the gaps between your meetings can offer. The aim is a clear view of that trade-off, with room for you to choose what matters most.

What we want to add

  • Duration, deadline and priority
  • Linked task and calendar block
  • Move a block without losing its task
  • Completion that stays in sync

How it could feel

Finish the assignment. Give it 45 minutes tomorrow afternoon.

Getting the details right

Scheduling work doesn’t mean it’s finished. We want a clear distinction between a task’s deadline, its planned time and its actual completion.
